There are different solutions for my ti-84 plus c silver edition. The only way it works correct is with the y+editor, also with ti83+. Secondly, the Solver is nsolve, so it stops after the first solution. If there are 3 Zeros Solution and 2 zeros are as narrow as they could, it is better to graph the equation, because you would find only 2 solutions with the solver, because you have to guess. It seems, that the solver could only solve linear equations with only one X, but the second side of the equation can also different from zero. No second zero on the other side of the equation. The difference between the 2 calculators is only that you have one set to zero to solve an equation. What works for me: Graph the equation, works also with ti83+, and intersect (zoom fit). As mentioned PolySimultan2(PlySmlt). You can download it from the net. I think, I have downloaded Mathtools from ticalc.org Algebra 1 edition v.1.5 with worked also with nsolve. Only one solution with x²-x-20=0 |x|=-3 makes a loop, so I reset, and the program was erased. Only ti-nspire cx CAS has proper solutions. So, as a résumé, use ti83/84 family only with GeoGebra or Desmos, both seems mighty, GeoGebra has a very good solver, but you have to learn to use them. The formula I used yesterday: 2/3*(9*X-6)=9*X-6, solution should be -2/3, but with the solver wrong solutions.

You can't just divide both sides of a congruence by any integer (even though you can multiply by any integer. You have to first see if gcd(n, m)=1. Only then can you divide by n.
